Raf Simons was founded by the eponymous in 1995. The designer, born from a poor family, made his way to the industry as creative director at Jil Sander and Dior, later on he became the chef creative officer at Calvin Klein, when he retired in 2016. Deeply influenced by music and the constant research for alternative cultures, the style of the brand offered an “alternative masculinity”.
